Terms of service

Last updated: 21 August 2026

1. Nature of the service

CareOama connects adults willing to offer companionship and practical daily support with families and people who need help. The service is exclusively non-medical: it does not include nursing care, medication administration, manual handling of individuals or medical assistance.

2. Use of the website

The information published is for illustrative purposes. Completing a questionnaire does not constitute the conclusion of a contract: each collaboration is defined by a subsequent, specific agreement.

3. Selection and insurance

People who collaborate with CareOama are selected, trained and covered by liability insurance. If they become unavailable, we offer an alternative with compatible characteristics.

4. User obligations

Users agree to provide truthful and up-to-date information and not to enter third-party data without having informed them. In the event of a medical emergency, please call the single European emergency number 112.

5. Consumer rights in the European Union

For services purchased remotely by consumers, the protections provided by Directive 2011/83/EU apply, including the right of withdrawal within 14 days of the conclusion of the contract, unless the service has already been fully performed at the consumer's express request. The financial terms and withdrawal procedures are set out in the specific agreement.

6. Limitation of liability

CareOama is liable, in accordance with applicable law, for damage caused by its own conduct. It is not liable for events caused by unforeseeable circumstances, force majeure, or inaccurate information provided by the user. No clause limits the mandatory rights granted to consumers by law.

7. Governing law, disputes and contacts

These terms are governed by Italian law. For consumers resident in the European Union, the courts of the place of residence or domicile remain competent, and the mandatory rules of the country of residence remain applicable. Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) bodies may also be used. Contact: info@careoama.it.
