About us

When you can't be there, CareOama is.

CareOama comes from a simple idea: no one should feel alone. Every day thousands of families live the same situation: parents grow older and need company, support and a reassuring presence; their children would like to be there more often, but work, distance and daily commitments make it hard.

We are not a healthcare service, nor a traditional home-care cooperative. We are a network of trusted people who offer their time, experience and humanity to be alongside others in everyday life.

Trust comes first

Trust cannot be improvised: we carefully select the people in the CareOama network and, whenever possible, we make sure the same person follows the same family over time.

The real difference is not running an errand or taking a walk: it is knowing that a reliable person knows your loved one, notices when something is wrong and becomes a point of reference.

A presence that brings you closer

A chat over coffee, a walk around the neighbourhood, help with a smartphone, an errand done together: small gestures that make a big difference to quality of life.

Our commitment

Every family who chooses CareOama should feel at ease. That is why we guarantee:

  • Reliable, carefully selected people
  • Continuity of the relationship whenever possible
  • Insurance cover and dedicated procedures
  • Ongoing support for families
  • Simple, human and transparent services
  • Respect and dignity for every person

Our vision

We imagine a society where ageing does not mean isolation: people who keep feeling part of their community, maintain meaningful relationships and live their daily life with greater peace of mind.

We want to build a network of trust connecting families, people who need help and people willing to give their time. Because what matters most is often not having someone to do something for us: it is knowing that someone is there.

Problem and Market

The main problem is the loneliness and isolation of older people living alone, along with the emotional burden on caregiver children who live far away. CareOama exists precisely for this: to bring presence, connection and everyday support where they are missing.

It is both a huge social need and an underserved market: active Trusted Companions are a valuable, underused resource, and integration with healthcare plans and welfare programmes makes the model sustainable, loyalty-driven and scalable.
